He was born on July 20, 1970. He studied Accountancy in the University of Nigeria, Enugu, were he emerged the best graduating student in Accountancy and the faculty of Business Administration.
He worked in the banking sector at senior management level spanning over 17 years in top Nigerian banks amongst which were; NAL Merchant bank, Diamond bank, Continental Trust Bank, FSB International Bank, Standard Trust Bank, United Bank for Africa and Bank PHB.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (1998), The Chattered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (2000), The Institute of Credit Administration (2015). He has bagged numerous awards including the 2016 and 2019 Seven Stars award.
He worked as MD/CEO Transcorp Hotels Plc a subsidiary of Transcorp Plc. After a successful stint at Transcorp hotels Plc, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer Of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria plc (Transcorp), a diversified conglomerate with strategic investments and core interests in the hospitality, agribusiness and energy sectors a position he held from 2019-2020 when he declared interest to run for governor of Anambra state.
He is the founder of Valentine Chineto Ozigbo FOUNDATION that helps empowers youths.
He is married with children.
